What do I do if my address changes?

You can call the office at (440)974-0808 or (800)627-7279 or email marjorie.phelps@raymondjames.com to update the address on the account.

Deposits

When I give you a check for deposit to my account, how should it be made payable?

The check should be made payable to Raymond James Financial Services or to the individual whose name is on the account.

Withdrawals

How long does it take to get money from my account?

If we have to sell something to generate the cash, it is a minimum of 5 days if funds are wired.  If a check is mailed, you can expect the process to take up to 10 days.  If cash is available in your account, we can wire funds or mail a check the next day.  Refer to the fee chart for the cost of overnight delivery or wiring.

Is there a better way for me to withdraw funds from my account?

Yes.  We recommend that all clients add ACH instructions to their account.  This allows us to send money directly to your bank account electronically without having to charge a fee.  This process can take up to a couple of days but we do not charge a fee and typically the receiving institution does not charge a fee.

Wires   $25.00 (expect the receiving bank to charge a fee also)
Early Payouts   $25.00 plus margin interest
Physical Certificate Fee $65.00
Overnight Delivery $20.00
Saturday Delivery $30.00
IRA Annual Fee $40.00
IRA Termination Fee $100.00
Account Transfer Fee $100.00

These are not all of the fees but are the most common.

We currently do not charge a fee for appointments.

Why don’t you use voice mail?

There are a couple of reasons.  First and foremost, our industry is very strict when it comes to how we communicate with our clients and how we can receive information such as orders.  Clients may leave a message on a voice mail with instructions to sell or buy a particular security.  We are unable to accept such a request and we don’t want clients thinking that there order has been received when in fact it has not.  Second, we have more than enough staff to allow us to always have a human being answer the phone.  Voice mail is so impersonal and, in our opinion, relied upon too heavily by companies.  If you call our office during business hours you will get to talk to a real person who will be able to answer your question or take a message.
